Puntland cuts ribbon at Bosaso international airport

Puntland opens officially Bosaso’s international airport, after one year of building work on Friday.
An inaugural ceremony held at the airport in Bosaso, attended by Somalia’s president, Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, Puntland’s president, Abdiweli Mohamed Ali, Chinese ambassador for Somalia, Wei Hongtian, Italy’s ambassador for Somalia, Fabrizio Marcelli, and Somalia’s former premiers, Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed and Ali Mohamed Gedi.

Somalia’s president officially cuts the ribbon along with the Puntland’s president, Abdiweli Mohamed Ali of this international airport. President Hassan says that this airport will advance the region’s business interconnectedness.

The airport has 2.4km runway with a width of 45 Meters, Chinese company called Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has built the airport under the fund by the Italian government in worth of $10 Million.
