Somalia’s Danab commandos captures Al-Shabab militants and frees their hostages

















The Somali elite commandos from the Danab section and their AU troops ally who have carried out dawn raid at Barrire and Awdegle locations in the middle shabelle region of Somalia have succeeded in their operation in capturing Al-Shabab militants and as well released hostages they were having.


Somali military officers who have spoken to the Somali National News Agency have verified that elite troop from Danab section and the AU troop dawn raid.
“In the dawn raid at Barrire and Awdegle locations carried out by an elite soldiers of Danab and their AU troops ally have succeeded in capturing number of Al-Shabab militants and as well freed hostages who were under the captivity of Al-Shabab” said an officer in the Somali military force speaking in anonymous.
The exact casualties of both sides are still unknown apart from the captured Al-Shabab and the freed hostages, but the military department has pledged to give the exact full information of the casualties to the press once the ongoing operation is over.
