(Bile Blog) The President of Somalia’s Semi-autonomous region of 
Puntland Abdiweli Mohamed Ali  Gaas has reached Galdogob town on the 
Ethiopian-Somalia border on Sunday.
The visit is part of the first local tour by Puntland’s President 
Abdiweli Gaas, the former Somali Prime Minister, who was elected as the 
region’s new president in January this year.
In the last couple of days, President Gaas spent in Galkayo in the 
central Somalia region of Mudug.  His Galkayo visit came as armed 
soldier shot dead two foreign UN workers at the city’s airport in last 
week.
According to President’s information team, Mr Gaas will be visiting 
some key facilities in the border-located town and will be holding 
meetings with the local administration officials and the community 
elders to assess the needs of the people in the historical town of 
Galdogob.
