Kenya: “Our troops will not pull out from Somalia” Declares Kenyan Gov’t

Government of Kenya in load voice confirmed that their troops will remain in Somali until their mission in Somalia is accomplished.
Addressing the cabinet briefing, Defence Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo said Kenyan will not pull out of Somalia until they defeat the terrorist Al-shabab militants in Somalia.
“We do not think that this is the time to discuss exiting Somalia. This is the time to step up military operations. This is the time to crush the terrorist groups in Somalia that are causing insecurity in this country,” Omamo said.
The minister also stated that they have crossed into Somali territories a pursuit of Al-shabab militants after plotting terror activities in Kenyan soils.
“KDF ventured into Somalia in 2011 because of repeated incursions and repeated threats from terrorist groups in Somalia. We went into Somalia because we were aggressed first,” said the minister.
Kenyan defense force crossed into Somalia in a bid of fighting Al-shabab militants in Jubba regions thus lead to capture of Somali port town of Kismao which was key town for the militants existence in Somalia.
