Barawe (Bile Blog) A spokesman for the militant group in Somalia of Al Shabab, Sheikh Ali Mohamud Rage [Ali Dhere] said the latest crackdown on the Somali population in Kenya by the Kenyan police was a bare attempt to humiliate Muslims in Kenya.

Speaking to pro-Al Shabab radio in Barawe, Mr Rage said he would call the Muslims in Kenya to react on the brutal operation against Muslim communities in Kenya.
“The people arrested have nothing to do with Al Shabab. How can a young toddler who is only one year old, an elder woman be an Al Shabab member.” Al Shabab spokesman questioned.
He said Kenya started the operation against Somalis in Nairobi to extort their money and deport them after it invaded their Somalia and took its land.
“I call all Muslims in Somalia to work together and stand to fight against invaders in Somalia.” he added.
His comments came as Kenya police continued irs swoop against Somalis in Nairobi and Mombasa in the past three weeks.  On Monday Kenya police announced it will target more than 20 Somali businessmen in Nairobi for financing Al Shabab fighters in Somalia.
