SOMALIA: Kenya starts first deportation of Somali refugees, 86 sent to Mogadishu

Nairobi: Kenya authorities today deported the first Somali refugees in Kenya back to their home country, after weeks of massive police crackdown against Somalis in Nairobi.
The first 86, men, women and children were deported from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in a flight to Mogadishu’s Aden Abdulle International Airport.
Officials from Kenya and Somalia have been in the airport when the plane carrying the 86 Somali refugees was flying from JKIA today on Wednesday.
People were seen in a joy and cheerful as they felt their freedom while returning back to their home country.
“All praise be to God alone.  We have now gained our freedom after a week of punishment and the hell of Kenya.”Hassan Osman, a teenage Somali refugee said.
Another man said he was very happy to return to home land rejoicing “Go East and West home is the best.”
Kenya police known for its corrupt officers have been holding the Somali refugees in different places in Nairobi while the people thanked to the Federal Government of Somalia for the urgent intervention before they could be trapped in the corrupt prisons of Nairobi where the detained people are sold out for their release.
The 86 Somali refugees are the first to be deported from Kenya.
